About Reflective Ground Counselling

Reflective Ground Counselling & Wellness is centred on supporting individuals live their most meaningful life, despite the stresses and hardships that show up.

In our current cultural environment, we are surrounded by factors like social media, fast-pased lifestyles, financial strains, harmful substances, burnout and loneliness – all of which can significantly impact our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

At Reflective Ground, we focus on preventing/reducing the impacts of stress or emotional pain on one’s overall well-being. We offer individual counselling, creative workshops and a resource blog including various topics on mental health, substance use and therapeutic expression.

About Me

A woman with long dark hair sitting in tall, dry grass during sunset in a natural outdoor setting.

Hello! I’m Jacqueline, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC # 16650) in British Columbia, Canada. My counselling practice is centred on helping you live your most authentic, value-driven life without stress or anxiety impeding on you mental, emotional or physical health.

Guiding Principals in my work as a counsellor:

❋ Client-Centred

What is important to the client is what is prioritized in counselling.

❋ Trauma-Informed

Trauma affects everyone. Here, we ensure that you feel safe to talk about your past experiences at the pace that feels right for you.

❋ Evidenced-Based Practices

Approaches used in counselling and courses are based in evidence-based research. Examples include: DBT, Mindfulness, CBT, ACT, and IFS.

❋ A Supportive Space

Client safety and respect is a priority —so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.

Approaches Draw From:

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Supports what is most meaningful to you and encourages living life in alignment with your values

Narrative Therapy

Supports the reconstruction of narratives that don’t serve us into new stories that centre on how we want to be living our life.

EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing

Supports our own natural healing system to process any trauma or unprocessed emotions,

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Recognizes that our internal system is made of several “parts” - some as protectors, others may be wounded parts. IFS supports learning about our parts and the relationship we have with them.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Supports coping with distressing experiences applying practical tools to reduce suffering.

Therapeutic & Intuitive Art

Using art and intuition has been shown to provide new meaning and perspectives that can be difficult or unattainable by verbalization alone.

Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

Supports awareness and understanding of our emotions and our internal support system.
